Consumer Information

Dear Consumer,

These pages contain information specific to the users of home care and their families or caregivers.  Our "What is Home Care?" page contains a detailed description of home care and question that should be asked when deciding if home care is the best choice for you or  your loved one.

To be eligible for services under Medicare, the beneficiary must be considered homebound and have written orders from their physician.

Private insurance companies have different eligibility requirements based on the individual plan for receiving services. You must contact your insurer for more information on these benefits.

Many providers have a "self-pay" option where the patient or family pays for the services from personal funds.  These arrangements must be discussed on a case by case basis with the provider.

GAHHA cannot provide references to specific agencies or providers; however, we can provide you with a list of providers in your area.

The links provided are some that might help give you additional information as you make your healthcare decisions.

We hope you find this information helpful.  If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Sincerely,

Judy Adams
Executive Director
